We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting and finance operations at Peeridea, Inc. Successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, GL, cash flow, AP/AR, regulatory filings, and liaising with external auditors. Additionally, you will support ad hoc projects to achieve company objectives.

This is a full-time, fully remote role in Taiwan.

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Generate comprehensive financial reports for executive management and key stakeholders.

Government Reporting and Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements, tax filings, and regulations.
• Prepare and submit bimonthly VAT, maintain supporting documentation, and payments as required.
• Work with external auditors and accountants for audits and annual tax returns.

Financial Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and implement strategies to enhance liquidity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and systems.

We Hope You Have

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong understanding (or research skills) of US and Taiwan GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent command of the English language.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Experience within, or interest in, the technology or recruitment industry, and crowdfunding.
• Experience with one of the Big 4.
• Experience with international taxation.
• A professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA).
