About Internship Program

This internship will run from from July 1, 2024, to August 30, 2024, for a consecutive 9 weeks on full time basis.

Yahoo will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Taiwan, and this internship position is not available for Yahoo's visa sponsorship. Participants must be located in Taiwan throughout the duration of the program.

A Little About Us

You will take part in the design projects by which you will be responsible for user interface creation, wireframe, and prototype support from concept to implementation. The Interaction/Visual Designer will also be given design tasks that will elevate and guide you through complex design to simple solution.

Your role will vary based on your background and experience, focusing on one of the following areas:

(1) E-commerce Group: Join our team dedicated to providing cutting-edge, secure services for consumers and businesses interacting with Yahoo systems. Operating at an unparalleled scale on the Internet, our search systems handle millions of logins per month, serving hundreds of millions of users. As part of this group, you will contribute to AI projects, explore new business opportunities, and enhance our company's E-commerce capabilities.

(2) Media Group: Dive into the dynamic world of media alongside product designers, researchers, and engineers. Collaborate on innovative News products that shape the information landscape, spanning news, video, entertainment, sports, finance, and more aspects of daily life. Participate in a stimulating array of events and meaningful projects that drive the success of our businesses.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited higher education institution actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, MS, or PhD in a related major
• Passionate in user-centered design process; enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
• Great communication and presentation skills, and excel at working in a fast iterative creative studio
• Knowledge of mobile/native technology and design trends
• Knowledge of fundamentals in interaction design, design patterns and principles
• Experience using Figma and/or other wireframe/prototyping tools
• Ability to take complex concepts into logical and simple user-first solutions
